Finestrat is a town of about 6300 people in the province of Alicante on Spain's southeastern coast and is located about 12 kilometers from the lively beach resort of Benidorm. The town is ancient and there are caves in Sierra Cortina that show signs of human habitation dating back 20,000 years.
