About El Campello

Located on Spain’s Costa Blanca near the city of Alicante, El Campello or Campello is a seaside town with a year-round population of approximately 26,000 people that more than triples in the busy summer months. While the local economy is now very much focused on tourism, historically Campello was a busy fishing port with one of the most important fleets on the Spanish Mediterranean coast. Now, the traditional fishing port sees thousands of tourists every year. Campello’s “moros y cristianos” fiestas in October are spectacular with boats landing on the beaches, fireworks, parades and more. Campello enjoys 23 kilometers of coastline and there are beaches for all tastes. The provincial capital of Alicante is 10 kilometers away and can be reached by bus or TRAM. The international airport is 29 kilometers away
